Terms of Service
These terms explain how writers may use WriterBridge, how uploaded manuscripts are handled, and what responsibilities remain with the author.
Last updated: May 21, 2026
1. Service
WriterBridge provides digital software tools for authors to organize stories and chapters, create AI-assisted translations, review translated text, manage glossary and story context, and export project materials. WriterBridge does not sell user manuscripts, third-party novels, publishing rights, translation rights, or adaptation rights.
WriterBridge does not guarantee publishing, platform acceptance, audience growth, revenue, adaptation, legal clearance, or rights acquisition. The service is an author workflow tool, not a publisher, literary agent, legal advisor, or rights broker.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your location, to purchase paid services. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. User content and rights
You must own or control all rights needed for any content you upload to WriterBridge. By using the service, you confirm that you have the right to upload, process, translate, edit, export, publish, and otherwise use the content through your intended workflow.
Do not upload third-party novels, pirated works, contracted works you are not permitted to translate, fan translations you are not authorized to process, or any content that violates another person's copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, contractual, or other legal rights.
WriterBridge does not investigate, verify, clear, acquire, manage, register, enforce, or provide copyright, translation rights, publishing rights, adaptation rights, or other intellectual property rights for you. Any processing, translation, review, export, or account access provided by WriterBridge is not a rights clearance decision, legal approval, or confirmation that you may publish or commercialize the content.
If you are uncertain whether you have the necessary rights, do not upload or process the content until you have confirmed permission with the relevant rights holder, publisher, platform, contract party, or qualified advisor.
4. Ownership and license
You retain ownership of your original user content. WriterBridge receives only the permissions needed to host, process, translate, display, store, troubleshoot, and export your content in order to provide the requested service.
WriterBridge may use aggregated or de-identified usage information to operate, secure, measure, and improve the service, but we do not sell user manuscripts.
5. AI-assisted output
AI-assisted translations can be inaccurate, incomplete, culturally inappropriate, or unsuitable for publication without editing. You are responsible for reviewing accuracy, tone, continuity, cultural meaning, rights compliance, and suitability before publishing, selling, distributing, or relying on any output.
WriterBridge does not guarantee that AI-assisted output is copyrightable, exclusive, accepted by any publishing platform, or free from third-party claims. Human review and editorial control are expected.
6. Payments, Paddle, and credits
WriterBridge may offer subscriptions and prepaid credits. Credits are consumed by translation or generation jobs according to the product rules shown at checkout or inside the account. Prices, renewal terms, taxes, and included credits are displayed before payment.
Except where required by law, required by Paddle's buyer terms, expressly stated in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, or approved in writing by WriterBridge or Paddle, paid purchases are final and non-refundable once payment is completed, account access is delivered, credits are delivered, or AI processing begins.
Paid purchases may be processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle may handle payment processing, fraud checks, taxes, receipts, invoices, refunds, and payment support. Paddle's buyer terms and privacy notices may also apply to paid transactions.
7. Refunds and cancellation
Subscription cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically refund past billing periods. Refund requests for unused credits, duplicate payments, failed delivery, and technical issues are reviewed under the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Mandatory consumer rights still apply where required by law.
8. Prohibited use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. WriterBridge may block jobs, suspend accounts, remove content, refuse service, preserve records, or terminate access if we believe the service is being used for infringement, abuse, fraud, illegal activity, or other prohibited use.
- Do not upload content you do not own or have permission to use.
- Do not use WriterBridge to infringe copyrights, evade publishing contracts, or bypass platform terms.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, resell, or interfere with WriterBridge or its providers.
- Do not use the service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, or payment-abusive activity.
9. Third-party services
WriterBridge may rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, AI processing, payments, analytics, observability, email, and support. These providers may process data as needed to provide the service, subject to their own terms and privacy commitments.
10. Disclaimers and limits
WriterBridge is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every publishing workflow.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WriterBridge is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or business losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
